attending Southern Oregon State University ... dean’s list both semesters.
High school: First-team all-state recognition as a
quarterback and defensive back after a Grandview High record-setting senior
campaign ... also earned first-team all-CWAC honors at quarterback and
defensive back, was the Old Spice Red Zone Player of the Year, Tri-City Herald
third-team quarterback and defensive back, and was the Week 11 Washington state
Player of the Week ... started at quarterback, safety and punter ... completed
194-314 passes for 2,256 yards and 21 TDs ... also had 300 yards rushing and
five rushing TDs ... had 131 tackles, six interceptions (two of which were
returned for TDs), four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries ... as a
junior, was a first-team all-CWAC choice at defensive back and third-team
selection at quarterback ... completed 135 of 230 passes for 1,802 yards and 16
TDs ... also rushed for four TDs ... had 87 tackles, four interceptions and
four forced fumbles ... started at safety as a sophomore and had 81 tackles and
two interceptions ... also played basketball and baseball and ran track ...
earned all-CWAC honors in the throwing events ... graduated fourth in his
class, was the GHS Student of the Year, ASB President and DECA national
qualifier.
