Theodore Brown II

Brown enters his second season with the Vandals as special teams quality control.

From June 2022 through June 2023, Brown worked at the University of Findlay. In his second stint, he served as the running back and wide receivers coach before specializing in just running backs for the spring season. At Findlay, Brown coached two All-Conference running backs, Garrett Clark and Derek Lynch, and one All-Conference wide receiver, Tanner Schroeder. His athletes averaged 28 points and 339 yards/game winning the last six straight conference games and finishing the season 7-4. 

In 2019-21, Brown coached at Alderson Broaddus. He served as a wide receiver coach for the first year and then transitioned to defensive backs. At Alderson, Brown coached one All-Conference running back, Nick Bishop (2019), and one All-Conference defensive back, Tyleeke Smith (Spring 2021).

Brown's first season at the University of Findlay saw him coach the running backs from 2018-19. Brown helped Findlay finish the season 8-3 with the help of All-Super Region 1 selection running back Brian Benson. Brown also helped the offense accumulate 494.2 yards/game and 41.2 points/game.

From 2016 to 2018, Brown coached at Muskingum University. He switched between running backs and defensive backs during his time coaching there. During the 2016 season, the defense created 15 turnovers, seven interceptions, and two defensive touchdowns. DB, Dorian Maynard was named All-Conference. In the 2017 season, Brown helped the offense achieve 324 yards/game.

Brown took some time away from coaching to work as a strength and conditioning intern at the University of South Carolina from May 2016 to July 2016.

He has high school football coaching experience at Centennial High School from 2013 through 2015. At Centennial, he served as the defensive coordinator from 2013-15 and the offensive coordinator from 2015-16.

Brown's first coaching job was at Mason High School as a wide receiver coach in 2011 where he helped the team reach the playoffs for the first time since 2007.

Brown graduated from Muskingum University in 2018 with a Master's in Adult Education. He earned his undergraduate degree from West Virginia University in Athletic Coaching in 2013.

The Mason, Ohio native is thrilled to be in Moscow working with Idaho football.
