High school: As a senior at Ellender Memorial High School, Johnson had 34 receptions for 649 yards and eight touchdowns. He had three 100-yard-plus games with his top outing 160 yards on five receptions vs. Lutcher. He scored three touchdowns on seven receptions for 143 yards vs. Assumption and had 106 yards on four catches against South Terrebonne ... As a junior, he started the season with a 214-yard game (seven receptions) en route to an 891-yard season (36 catches). He also had games of 164, 148 and 142 yards and scored eight touchdowns on the season. As a sophomore, he played in four games and had four catches for 106 yards and two touchdowns. He also returned kickoffs with 27 career returns for 371 yards.
