Biography

 

2014: Redshirt.

 

2013: Joined the Vandals in January as a grayshirt.

 

High school: He is a 2013 graduate of Hoquiam High School where he was the Evergreen 1A Most Valuable Player and an all-state choice. As a senior, he rushed for 2,186 yards, while averaging 13 yards per carry. Against Montesano, he rushed for 354 yards and scored three touchdowns as a senior. He scored 30 touchdowns during the 2013 campaign. He also competed in track and was the top sprinter on Hoquiam’s 1A championship team.

 

Personal: Son of Julie Brown and Todd Hoiness ...

 

Hoiness is following in his father's footsteps. The son of former Vandal running back Todd Hoiness, Nolan said part of the reason he was committing to Idaho was to follow his dad's path.
