2015: Totaled 337 digs in 114 sets this season…...recorded a career-high 22 digs in Idaho’s Big Sky Tournament quarterfinal win over North Dakota...led the team with a career-best 28 aces, 0.25 per set…finished third on the team with 2.96 digs per set, 337 total…surpassed 900 career-digs, finishing the season with 960...totaled 18 matches with 10+ digs…twice matched a career-high with three aces against Towson and North Dakota (Big Sky Tournament)…totaled 35 digs in two Big Sky Tournament matches.
2014: Varney started 21 of the 29 matches for the Vandals…she averaged 3.32 digs per set in 108 sets...totaled 359 digs on the season…had 19 double-digit dig matches including a career high 23 against Georgia Southern (Aug. 30)…she had seven matches with 15 or more digs, including four with 20 or more…recorded career-high five assists at Florida (Aug. 29)…finished with 26 assists on the season…recorded three aces on two separate occasions against Utah State (Sept. 5) and Missouri (Sept. 11)…totaled 14 aces on the season.
2013: Varney played in 26 matches for the Vandals in 2013, starting all 26 of those…she averaged 2.56 digs per set and tallied 264 digs on the season…she had 15 double-digit dig matches including a season-high 15 digs on three occasions…she had 16 assists and nine aces on the season as well...Academic All-WAC.
Vista Murrieta High School: Varney was an All-League, All-Valley and All-CIF selection at Vista Murrieta High School in Murrieta, Calif…was also team captain…she competed in club volleyball for nine years for SVVC and Viper, and earned all-tournament team honors at the MLK tournament in 2011 and 2012.
Personal: Full name is Terra Kaetlin Varney…daughter of Krista and Mike Varney…born Feb. 21, 1995 in Murrieta, Calif…has three older sisters, Breanne, Kayla and Jenae…sister Kayla played volleyball at UC Davis…majoring in elementary education.
