HIGH SCHOOL: Penner is a team captain and First-Team All-Conference player and helped lead Rocky Mountain to the Idaho 5A semifinals. He anchored the offensive line and helped Rocky Mountain have the second-best scoring average in the state of Idaho. He was named the most improved offensive lineman two years in a row. He was named 5A All-Idaho First Team by the Statesman.

PERSONAL: Penner is a four-year Academic All-State honoree who hopes to major in Management Information Systems. His parents are Ryan and Renae Penner and he has one brother, Dillon.
