Previous Schools: Dean played in all 33 games and started 21 for Utah in 2012-13…He averaged 5.5 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game...before arriving at Utah, Dean spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at Eastern Washington University under then head coach and current Idaho assistant Kirk Earlywine…at EWU Dean was Big Sky Freshman of the year in 2009-10 and a second-team all-Big Sky honoree in 2010-11, and a two-time Big Sky All-Academic selection.

High School: Graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2008 and spent one year at the Laurinburg Institute (NC)...averaged more than 14 ppg as a three-year starter at Roosevelt, scoring 954 points...first-team All-Kingco 4A League honors as a senior, second team accolades as a junior and honorable mention as a sophomore...averaged 15.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists as a senior, while shooting 53 percent from the floor.

Personal: The son of Glen Dean and Judi Sinclair…born Oct. 20, 1989 in Seattle, Wash…brother Perrion Callandret is a freshman on the Idaho basketball team.
