Kassi Johnson

Johnson joined the Vandals in 2019 as an assistant athletic trainer. Johnson works primarily with men's basketball.

Beyond her AT duties, Johnson assists the University of Idaho's Master's in Athletic Training Program.

In 2017, she earned her Master of Science in Athletic Training from Idaho. Before Idaho, she earned Bachelor's degrees in Biology and Kinesiology with an emphasis in athletic training from Northwest Nazarene University in 2015.

Johnson was a dual-sport athlete participating in volleyball at Simpson University from 2010-12 and then transitioned to throwing for track and field at Northwest Nazarene University from 2013-15. 

The Nikiski, Alaska native is a third-generation Vandal following in the footsteps of her grandfather, Larry Johnson, who played football from 1959-62. Her father, Timothy Johnson, also played football from 1988-89 where he met her mother, Carlene Johnson. Her brother, Luke Johnson continued the football legacy, playing for the Vandals from 2016-19. Her other siblings Lincoln, Ian, and Kaitlyn also played college sports for different universities.
