Biography
2018-19: Did not play during the 2018-19 season
2017-18: Started 30-of-31 games, only coming off the bench on senior night…averaged 9.5 points per game, fourth highest average on the team…averaged 4.7 rebounds per game, the third highest average for the Vandals… shot 52.9 percent from the floor… netted the overtime buzzer-beating game-winner to knock off top-ranked Montana at home… scored a career-high 28 points and 13 rebounds against George Fox, going 10-for-12 from the floor and 8-for-9 from the line…scored in double-digits in 11 games…recorded two double-doubles, both Idaho wins
2016-17: Appeared in all 33 games, starting 32… averaged 6.8 points and 5.5 boards per game… scored in double-figures eight times… tied his career-high with 19 points at Montana State… grabbed a career-best 11 boards in the senior day win over Weber State… equaled that performance in the Big Sky Semifinals against North Dakota… scored in double-figures in both of Idaho’s postseason wins.
2015-16: Appeared in all 34 games, starting 18… averaged 6.5 points and 3.8 rebounds per game… scored a career-high 19 points against EWU in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Tournament in Reno… hit his first nine field goals in that game… also grabbed eight boards against the Eagles… recorded his first career double-double at NAU, scoring 10 points and grabbing a career-high 10 boards… shot 49.4 percent from the floor and 75.0 percent from the line… scored in double-figures nine times… scored 15 points off the bench in the season-opening win over San Jose State.
2014-15: Saw action in six games but was injured and sat out the remainder of the season in what will be a redshirt season... scored two points in debut against Eastern Oregon... grabbed four rebounds against Northern Kentucky.
High School: Sherwood was a first-team all-state selection at Oregon’s West Albany High School as a senior in 2013-14…he also earned Conference Player of the Year honors his senior season after averaging 20.9 points, 10.1 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game…was an honor roll student all four years of high school.
Personal: Full name is Nathan Paul Sherwood…son of Bill and Lynn Sherwood…born May 11, 1996 in Albany, Ore…has two older brothers, Nick and Chad…brother Chad also plays basketball at Idaho…brother Nick played golf at Oregon State.
