Biography

2010-11: Shaena started all nine games that she played in during the season, and averaged 5.5 boards and 6.9 points per game...scored a season-high 16 points on Nov. 17 against Eastern Washington...tied her career-high with 11 rebounds on Nov. 20 at UC Santa Barbara...she went 9-for-9 from the free throw line on the season...averaged 0.9 steals and 1.6 assists per game.

2009-10: Kuehu averaged 11.4 points per game for the Vandals in 2009-10, and reached double-figures in scoring in 21 of 31 games...she recorded two double-doubles on the season with 14 points and 11 rebounds on Dec. 1 against Colorado State and again with 22 points and 10 rebounds in the WAC quarterfinal against New Mexico State on March 10...her 11 rebounds against Colorado State set a new career-high, as did her 22 points against New Mexico State...averaged 5.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game...she played in all 31 games for the Vandals and made 30 starts...shot 34.4 percent (126-of-366) for the season...set a career-high with six assists on Feb. 24 against San Jose State...hit 5-of-7 3-pointers  on Dec. 13 against Montana...shot 66.3 percent ( 67-of-101) from the free throw line for the season...led the team with 2.0 steals per game...briefly entered the top 10 in Idaho career 3-pointers made, before being passed by teammate Charlotte Otero...currently ranks 11th in Idaho history in that category with 76 career 3-pointers made.

2008-09: Kuehu rocked the Western Athletic Conference in her freshman campaign, as she led all conference first-year players in scoring (10.0), rebounding (5.3), field goal percentage (.396), and 3-point field goal percentage (.369)...earned a spot on the WAC All-Freshman Team, as voted by the league's coaches...ranked third overall in the conference 3-point field goal percentage, ninth overall in 3-pointers made and 18th overall in scoring...scored double-digit points in 18 of 28 games, including 14 of 16 conference contests...notched her first career double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds in a 75-62 win over CSU-Bakersfield on Nov. 30...ranked third on the team in scoring, rebounding, field goals made and free throws made...played in every game and started 18 on the year, including the final 14 of the season.

High School: Kuehu was a 2008 Honolulu Advertiser First Team All-State honoree...she helped lead Punahou Schools to three Hawai'i state titles in three seasons of play...with Kuehu on the court, Punahou won 2005, 2006 and 2008 Hawai'i Division I state titles...she averaged 9.5 points per game as a senior to help lead the Buffanblu to a 22-7 overall record...as a sophomore, Kuehu was named to the Star Bulletin Fab 15, as well as the Star Bulletin All-Defensive Team.

Personal: She is the daughter of Kaeo and Brandy Kaleoaloha...has four siblings, Shawna-Lei Kuehu, Shayla Kuehu, Kaleikoa Kaleoaloha and Kanoa Kaleoaloha...major at Idaho is Animal and Veterinary Science.
