Biography

2008: Raczykowski started 16 games in the Idaho midfield and played in all 19. She fired off 11 shots, including a career-high three at Washington State. She was voted Player of the Match twice during the season by her teammates–first after Idaho’s double-overtime loss to Cal State Bakersfield in the season opener, then again after a 1-0 loss to Eastern Washington. She was also a Governor’s Cup All-Tournament Team selection.High School/Club: Raczykowski was a four-year starter in soccer between two high schools. She played at Ferris High School in 2005-06 and at Cheney High school in 2004 and 2007. She earned Honorable Mention All-Greater Northern League in 2004 and 2007 at Cheney, then earned Honorable Mention All-Greater Spokane League in 2005 and First Team All-GSL in 2006 at Ferris. She helped Ferris make a run to the Washington state 2A quarterfinals in 2005 and the semifinals in 2006. She also helped Ferris earn Washington's Academic State Championship honor in both 2005 and 2006. She was a four-time First Team All-Academic honoree. Competed on the Spokane Shadow club team with current teammate Liz Boyden. She helped the Shadow win back-to-back Washington state titles in 2006 and 2007. She helped the Shadow win the 2005 Super Y-League Northwest Region championship and make an appearance in the U.S. Soccer Club National Championship game. She was a Washington state Olympic Development Program selection in 2006 and 2007 and a Northwest Region ODP selection in 2006.

 

Personal: Raczykowski is the daughter of Daniel Raczykowski and Carol King. She has three sisters, Alicia McAllister, Jaime McAllister, and former Idaho soccer player, Nicole McAllister. She is majoring in Business at Idaho.

Quoting Coach Showler: "Dani is a tough-tackling midfielder. She’s a ball-winner and she brings that added bit of bite to the midfield. She’s composed on the ball and her work ethic is fantastic. We have a very technical-minded midfield and now we’re adding something a little bit different and I’m very excited to have a player of her caliber to come into what we have now.”
