2010: Atkinson redshirted the 2010 season while rehabilitating a shoulder injury.

2009: Atkinson appeared in four games for Idaho as a true freshman. She attempted one shot on goal in the 1-0 loss at Seattle University on Aug. 23.

High School/Club: Atkinson was a two-sport athlete in soccer and track and field at San Clemente High School. She played all four years on the varsity squad and helped lead the Tritons to a 2008 California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section title with a 19-3-1 record, as well as South Coast League titles in 2007 and 2008. She competed with the Irvine Strikers in 2006 at the club level and helped lead the team to a U.S. Youth Soccer national title, a Far West Regional title and a California state title. She also helped the Strikers earn a Cal South National Cup title, Presidio Premier 1 U-19 title and a finals appearance at the Surf Cup. She also helped the San Diego Surf club team to a finals appearance at the 2008 Surf Cup.

Personal: She is the daughter of Brian Atkinson and Debbie Carroll. She has two brothers, Sean Atkinson and Bryant Carroll, and one sister, Courtney Atkinson. She was named to the Quill & Scroll International Honor Society and Principal’s Honor Roll and was a Scholar-Athlete at San Clemente High School. She is a double-major in International Studies and Public Relations.
