In 2016-2017, Kelsie Saxe is in her second year as assistant coach with the Idaho Vandals Swimming and Diving program.

In the 2015-2016 season, the Vandals enjoyed strong duel meet and championship competition.  The Vandals started the season with two big duel meet wins against conference foes University of Northern Colorado (UNC) and California State University- Bakersfield (CSUB).  The Vandals beat UNC 217-83 and CSUB 212-88.  Later in the season, Idaho upset a PAC-12 opponent, with a 188-106 win over the Oregon State Beavers. The team finished 5th at WAC Championships, while being only 46.5 points out of second place.

Saxe came back to Idaho after completing her Master’s in Recreation and Sport Management at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK).  While at UTK, Saxe had the opportunity to work with the swimming and diving teams in a managerial role.  Additionally, she worked as a mentor with football, basketball, and baseball student-athletes in the Thornton Center, an academic resource center for student-athletes on campus.  Prior to graduate school, Saxe competed for the Vandals from 2009-2013 while studying Public Relations.
