Biography
2009-2010: Cohen finished the season 8-5 in doubles in the 2010 spring sesaon and 3-2 in WAC doubles. She helped the Vandals clinch the doubles point against Hawaifi in the WAC tournament. She fnished 4-7 in singles matches including 3-2 in the WAC. In singles she went 1-2 at the No. 3 spot and 3-5 at the No. 5 spot. During the 2009 fall season Cohen advanced to the semifinals of the Gonzaga/Eastern Washington University Classic and compiled a 4-3 overall fall record.
2008-2009: Cohen went 12-16 in singles throughout the season, playing primarily in the 2 and 3 positions. Cohen teamed with Maria Perevoshchikova in doubles to go 9-9 on the year, playing at the1 position. Cohen was also a singles and doubles semifinalist at the Collegiate Clay Court Nationals in Savannah, GA during the fall.
Previous School: Cohen went 28-20 in singles and 22-17 in doubles at Old Dominion University. She went 17-4 in singles play her freshman year at ODU.
Junior Tennis: Cohen had a very successful career in junior tennis. At the U-14 level she was the top-ranked player in Israel and broke into the top-20 rankings in Europe. She competed at the European Junior Championships as well as the World Junior Championships. At the age of 16, she climbed as high as 5th in the Amateur rankings in Israel and received a ranking on the Women’s Professional Tennis Tour.
Personal: She is the daughter of Nahum and Haia Cohen. She was born May 21, 1987 at Rannana, Israel. He major at Idaho is Communication Studies
