Biography
2005: Placed 12th in the discus at the Big West Outdoor Championships... Her personal best throw of 149-7 ranks eighth all-time at UI.
High School: Demme was a two-sport athlete at Columbia River HS as she competed in track and volleyball. She graduated from high school ranked 25th in the nation in the discus. Demme won the 3A Washington State discus championship in 2004 and 2003. She also placed ninth in the shot put at state in 2004. Demme was a two-year league MVP in volleyball and a two-year first team all-state selection. She was also selected as the all-region MVP in both volleyball and track.
Personal: Full name is Jane Elizabeth Demme... born Sept. 6, 1985 at Portland, Ore. ... daughter of Jack and Susan Demme... has one sister, Anne... two uncles played college football, Bo Demme played for the University of Washington and Jay Lemcke played for Eastern Washington... majoring in journalism/mass media.
