2008: Started all 29 matches... earned second team all-WAC honors... blocks per set average (1.42) ranked No. 12 in the nation... led the team in hitting percentage (.287) and blocks (149)... totaled 134 block assists and 15 solo blocks... block assists total (134) ranked fourth on Idaho’s single-season records list... set an Idaho record with 13 block assists at Portland State... was the first Vandal to reach double-digit block assists since 2003... totaled 200 kills and a 1.90 kills per set average... ranked first in the WAC for blocks (1.42) and sixth for hitting percentage (.287)... ranked second in WAC games for blocks (1.44) and ninth for hitting percentage (.290)... set a career highs with 14 kills vs. Seattle, 13 blocks at Portland State, and four assists at Middle Tennessee... had two games with double-digit kills and four with double-digit blocks... hit over .400 in six matches and over .300 in 15 matches... was a WAC all-academic selection... earned Idaho’s Kathy Clark Scholar Athlete award.

2007: Played in 102 games and started all 29 matches in which she saw action... led the Vandals with 139 blocks and a 1.36 blocks per game average... held Idaho’s highest hitting percentage (.253)... ranked second in the WAC for blocks (1.36)... ranked third in WAC games for blocks (1.46)... scored 15.5 points vs. Northeastern with career highs in kills (13) and hitting percentage (.765)... earned a career high with 11 blocks vs. San Jose State... totaled 123 block assists to tie for eighth on Idaho’s all-time single season records list... was a WAC all-academic selection.

2006: Played in 24 games... recorded 13 kills and 17 blocks during the season... had a career best four kills at San Jose State (Nov. 11) and recorded four blocks on two occasions.

At Holy Names Academy: McKinney was chosen as the Holy Names Academy most valuable player in 2004 after leading the Cougars to the 3-A state tournament... was an honorable mention All-Metro League selection her senior year and the Seattle Post Intelligencer selected her to the 2004 All-Area team... in 2002 she was chosen as the Holy Names Academy most improved player... also participated for the Kent Juniors Volleyball Club team at Kent, Wash.

Personal: Full name is Anna Jolea McKinney... born March 19, 1987 at Burien, Wash... daughter of Don and Brenda McKinney... has one brother, Kyle... dad played football at Colorado State... was a member of the National Honor Society and a Sunday school teacher... majoring in history.
