Courtney Schneider came to Idaho in 2009 from Snohomish High School where she coached the Panthers for one season. She also coached with the Washington Volleyball Academy.

Schneider had a highly successful playing career at Western Washington as she earned All-American honors and three Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year selections. Her 2,695 career digs set a school record and rank third all-time in the NCAA Division II while her 7.0 career digs per game bested the previous national record by nearly 1.0 per match.
