Maria Logan enters her first season as a member of the Idaho volleyball coaching staff in 2023.
Logan, formerly known as Maria Bogomolova, comes to Idaho after serving as a volunteer assistant for the past two seasons and playing collegiately at the University of Washington for four seasons.
During her four-year stint at Washington as a serving specialist, Logan appeared in 69 matches and helped lead the Huskies to three appearances in the NCAA Tournament, including a run to the Final Four.
In her senior year, Logan helped author one of the greatest moments in UW history when she served seven straight points in a Husky comeback from down 5-11 to up 12-11 in a stunning 15-13 fifth set win over Louisville in the NCAA Round of 16.
Logan contributed to an Elite Eight run during her junior season at UW, ranking fourth on the team with 28 aces. She notched a trio of aces in a Round of 16 win over Kentucky and finished the season by appearing in 118 sets and 33 matches.
Logan graduated with a bachelor's degree in classical studies from the University of Washington in 2021.
Prior to her time competing collegiately, Logan was a member of the Russian U18 National Team that competed at the World Championships in 2015 and went on to win the 2014 and 2015 Eastern European Volleyball Zonal Association (EEVZA) tournament. Her international experience also included playing in the Russian Cup from 2012-2016, where she was named Best Freshman and helped lead the team to two third-place finishes.
A native of Saint Petersburg, Russia, Logan is one of three children from parents Ksenia and Alexander Bogomolov.
