2008: Played in 26 matches and started four... totaled 77 digs and a 0.90 digs per set average... added one kill, six assists, and eight service aces on the season... averaged 2.62 digs per set over the final five matches of the season... tallied 12 digs vs. Nevada.

At Pierce College: Team finished second at the California Community Colleges State Tournament in 2006... selected to the 2006 State Championship All-Tournament Team... tallied 8.82 digs per game to rank second in the state in 2006... averaged 0.61 service aces per game to rank in the top 50 in the state in 2006... helped the Brahmas to a fourth place finish at state in 2005... honored as the Western Conference’s co-Most Valuable Player in 2005... was a second team all-conference selection in 2005... appears six times on the California Community Colleges Women’s Volleyball State Tournament Records list for digs and aces.

At Notre Dame High School: Was a two-time all-CIF selection... won league MVP honors... voted the team MVP and team captain... named the LA Daily News Player of the Year in 2004.

Personal: Full name is Meredith Anne Rice... born Dec. 24, 1986 at Los Angeles, Calif. ... daughter of Mark and Heather Rice... has two brothers, Brett and Barrie... Barrie played football at the University of San Diego.
