MOSCOW, Idaho - Idaho Athletics has announced the hiring of Anthony Quiroz, Assistant Athletic Director for Equipment Operations. His hire was finalized on April 23, 2026, and he began his new role shortly after. 

Quiroz comes to Moscow from just up the road, most recently serving as the Director of Equipment Services at Eastern Washington from 2024 to 2026, managing the department for all of the Eagles’ varsity sports. Since 2022, he has also served as a gameday equipment assistant with the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs, and stepped in as the Director of Equipment Operations at the 2025 Hula Bowl in Hawaii.

He got his start working in equipment in 2017 at EWU before attending and graduating with a BA in Sociology from the University of Montana, where he served in the same capacity before receiving his degree in 2023. He accepted the role of Equipment Operations Assistant at Yale before returning to Cheney in 2024. 

A well-traveled and experienced professional in the world of equipment, Quiroz will prove an invaluable asset to Idaho Athletics and the student athletes who work to bring championships to the Palouse.
