Dani Linehan is the Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Support Services at the University of Idaho, where she oversees academic support for football, swimming and diving, as well as the department’s intern and graduate assistant program.
A former Division I swimmer, Dani earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Colorado State University, where was was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). She continued her education at the University of Memphis, earning a Master of Science in Sports Commerce between 2019 and 2021. During her time at Memphis, she served as a Graduate Assistant for the Center for Student-Athlete Academic Services working with the men’s basketball and football programs, gaining valuable experience in academic coordination and student-athlete development.
In fall 2021, Dani joined the University of Idaho as a Senior Academic Coordinator, supporting the football and swim and dive teams. She also served as the department’s (SAAC) coordinator from 2021 to 2025, playing a key role in enhancing student-athlete leadership and engagement.
Dani was promoted to Assistant Director in 2023 and again to Associate Athletic Director in 2025, reflecting her leadership, dedication, and impact on the academic and personal success of Idaho’s student-athletes.
She currently resides in Moscow with her husband, Matt Linehan, who is also our Offensive Coordinator for the football team, and their two dogs, Barnaby and Griffey.
