Natalie Fraley joins the Idaho women's basketball program as a graduate assistant after a successful collegiate playing career at the University of Portland and Utah State.
Fraley spent the final three seasons of her playing career at Portland, appearing in 108 games during her collegiate career. During her time with the Pilots, Fraley helped Portland compete at the top of the West Coast Conference and advance to postseason play. She played in 35 games during the 2024-25 season, averaging 1.7 points per game, and appeared in 33 games during the 2023-24 season. Fraley scored five points in eight minutes during Portland's WCC Championship game against Gonzaga in 2024.
Before Portland, Fraley played her freshman season at Utah State in 2022-23. She appeared in 24 games and earned Academic All-Mountain West honors. Fraley recorded a collegiate career-high 18 points against San Jose State, shooting 6-for-8 from the field while adding three assists. She also recorded a career-high six rebounds against San Jose State later that season.
A standout at Kelso High School in Kelso, Washington, Fraley was named the Greater St. Helens 3A Most Valuable Player and the Cowlitz and Lewis County MVP as a senior. She was a first-team all-state selection at the 3A level and a second-team all-state selection overall. Fraley averaged 22.9 points, 10.4 rebounds, 6.0 steals and 4.6 assists per game as a senior and led Kelso to a league championship. She holds the Kelso High School single-game scoring record with 41 points, while also holding the school's career records for assists and steals. She ranks second in school history in both career points and career rebounds.
Fraley was also a standout multi-sport athlete at Kelso, earning letters in basketball and volleyball and being recognized as a Scholar Athlete nine times in the Greater St. Helens League.
A native of Kelso, Washington, Fraley earned her degree in mathematics from the University of Portland. She joins the Vandals as a graduate assistant while pursuing her graduate education at the University of Idaho.
