LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The University of Idaho volleyball team fell, 3-0, to No. 24 New Mexico State, Thursday night. Match scores were 30-20, 30-21, 30-17.
With the loss Idaho falls to 1-10 on the season and 0-1 in the Western Athletic Conference. New Mexico State improves to 15-0 overall and 1-0 in the WAC.
"New Mexico State played great all the way through the match," head coach Debbie Buchanan said. "We just had too many errors and they played solid all night long."
For the match NMSU out hit Idaho .435 to .041, NMSU also out blocked the Vandals eight to one.
Senior Amanda Bowman led the attack for the Vandals tabbing six kills, while also scooping six digs. Jackie Choi was solid for the Aggies as she recorded six kills including one service ace. Choi also recorded nine digs.
Idaho returns to action, Saturday when they face Louisiana Tech, beginning at 5 PDT.
