MOSCOW, Idaho - The University of Idaho volleyball team, defeated the Boise State Broncos, 3-1 on Friday in front of 1,051 fans at Memorial Gym. Game scores were 30-19, 23-30, 30-24, 30-23.
The win boosts Idaho to 3-10 on the season and 2-1 in the WAC. Boise State falls to 7-8 and 1-2 in WAC play.
"This was a great match for us, we stuck to our game plan and did some good things," head coach Debbie Buchanan said.
Redshirt freshman Anna McKinney had a solid game for the Vandals as she tallied two big kills that pushed momentum back to the home squad. She also collected two digs and two huge block assists.
"Anna did some great things for us," Buchanan said. "She blocked some balls and she was able to move things around."
Idaho out hit the Broncos .279 to .095 on the night, including out stroking them .244 to .119 in game four.
Haley Larsen had 17 kills for the Vandals as she hit at an astounding .467 clip. Stacy Sode was big again on the defensive side as she notched a career-high 31 digs.
The Vandals return to action Tuesday October 3, when they travel to Spokane, Wash., to face Gonzaga.
