Boise- The University of Idaho swim team sunk the Boise State Broncos 162.5-131.5 Saturday with four first place finishes by both Adriana Quirke and Alyson O'brien.

Quirke set two season bests for the Vandals in the backstroke. The senior's time of 58.3 bested Anna Humphrey's time in the 100 back and when she touched the wall first at 2:07.60, she set the new top time of the season for the Vandals in the 200 back.

The Vandals lost 32 points by not competing in the diving events, but Coach Tom Jager said the team overcame a slow start and the diving competitions through an overall team effort.

“What was great was that our fastest kids didn't swim the best,” Jager said. “The whole team came together, and that's what makes great teams.”
