Idaho brushed aside Portland State 7-0 in the first match of the day before defeating Seattle University 5-2.

The Vandals went 6-0 in doubles play on Sunday as the team cruised to its ninth and tenth victories in a row.

"I thought we continued playing very well in doubles today," Women's Tennis head Coach Tyler Neill said. "In both matches we were very aggressive and we didn't allow our opponents to get comfortable in doubles."

Gabriela Niculescu went undefeated during the weekend amassing a 3-0 record in both singles and doubles play. Her partnership with Maria Pervoshchikova has seen Idaho excel in doubles play.

"Maria and Gabi played great together," Neill said. "We were focused and played solid singles."

Neill also praised Silvia Irimescu for her continued success this season. The Romanian won her singles matches at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.

Women's tennis has the week off before it begins a East Coast road trip during spring break with matches against Georgetown, La Salle, Temple and Delaware State.
