MOSCOW, Idaho - The Idaho women's diving team hit the pool with first-year
diving coach Chelsea Oates last week and started its early-season training.
Idaho returns three divers this season, sophomores Kelsi
Potterf and Mairin Jameson, and junior Paige Hunt. Hunt was an NCAA Zone
qualifier in the one-meter, three-meter and platform diving events, and also
broke the Idaho school record in the one-meter and platform, while both Potterf
and Jameson posted all-time top-10 dives in program history last year.
“There's a lot of talent here to work with, so I'm really
excited,” Oates said on Friday. “They're further along than I expected, so I
think we're going to get a lot of good stuff done this year.”
The Idaho swimming and diving team will make its season
debut on Oct. 8, when they head to Boise State for a rivalry dual meet at 12
p.m.
