PALM DESERT, Calif. - The Idaho men's golf team slid into a 19th place finish at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate after the final round of the 24-team tournament on Sunday.
Idaho began the day in 14th place, and posted matching 297 team scores in the first two rounds, but finished with a 304 to finish with 898, one shot behind Cal Poly.
Jared Bossio had the low round and the low overall tournament score for Idaho, finishing with a four-over 220 for the tournament after rounds of 76-68-76 to place in a tie for 44th. Bossio's four-under 68 in the second round was the only under-par round for an Idaho player, while Sean McMullen had an even-par 72 in the first round for the Vandals, and finished in a tie for 59th with a 223 after posting 72-75-76.
Justin Kadin tied for 83rd with rounds of 73-77-78, Stefan Richardson tied for 98th after posting 76-82-78, and Gordon Webb tied for 107th with 78-77-79.
Idaho will be back in competition at the Jackrabbit Invitational in Prim, Calif., March 12-13.
