The University of Idaho swimming and diving team was honored by the Collegiate Swimming Coaches of America as a Scholar All-America team.

"We are very proud of what these athletes accomplish day-in and day-out here at Idaho," coach Mark Sowa said. "We always talk about wanting to be great at everything you do and holding yourselves to the highest standard. These Vandals prove that you can be great in the pool, the classroom, and, most importantly, be great people as well."

To earn the distinction, teams must achieve a cumulative grade-point averge of 3.0 or better. As a team, the Vandals combined for a 3.26. South Carolina was the national leader at 3.62.
