Vandals buck Broncos

BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho women's team extended its win streak to eight matches with a 4-3 win at Boise State on Friday.

The Vandals improve to 8-1 on the season with the win.

Idaho took the doubles point with 8-6 wins at Nos. 1 and 3 doubles, then picked up singles wins at No. 1, No. 3 and No. 5 for the 4-3 win.

Victoria Lozano won 6-3, 6-2 at the top singles spot, but Galina Bykova and Belen Barcenilla needed a little more work for their wins at Nos. 3 and 5. Bykova won 6-2, 1-6, 6-0  at No. 3 and Barcenilla pulled out a couple close wins, 6-4, 7-5 at No. 5.

Idaho will take on Idaho State on March 1 at 9 a.m. (PT) in Boise.
