LEWISTON, Idaho – The regular season comes to a close on Saturday, as the Idaho cross country team makes the short trip to Lewiston for the Inland Empire Classic. The women's race will begin at 11 a.m., with the men's following at 11:45.
Idaho will be meeting up with a number of familiar foes, including Big Sky rivals Eastern Washington and Montana. Gonzaga and Washington State will also be among the competitors. The meet will serve as the final test ahead of the 2016 Big Sky Championships, taking place in Moscow on October 28.
Last time out, both the men and the women took fifth at the Washington Invitational.
Grayson Ollar continued his incredible freshman campaign, finishing as the lead Vandal in all three races thus far. He placed 21
st overall, first among true freshmen in an incredibly talented field. The women got another impressive performance from
Sierra Speiker, who returned to the lineup to finish 23
rd overall.
