Vandals hit the road for three straight

MOSCOW, Idaho – The Vandals (6-4-2, 3-1-0) head out for their final regular season road trip of the year, beginning with Sacramento State (3-5-4, 1-1-2) on Friday and Portland State (3-8-1, 1-2-1) on Sunday.  Idaho will close out the road schedule next weekend at Weber State.

FOLLOW –Live stats are available on the right.  Live video will be available at Portland State, and can be found through the link to the right.  Fans can also follow along live on Twitter, @VandalsSoccer.

PREVIEW – Idaho went 2-0 last weekend, defeating defending tournament champion Northern Colorado, 2-0, and thrashing North Dakota, 5-1.  The Vandals had six different goal scorers on the weekend, with Emma Eddy scoring once in each game.

MATCHUP – Idaho is 2-4-0 all-time against Sacramento State, but won last year's meeting 1-0.  Clara Gomez scored the lone goal, burying a rebound late in the first half.

Idaho is 6-4-0 all-time against Portland State, including a 1-0 victory last season.  Olivia Baggerly was the hero on that day, scoring on a free kick midway through the first half.

GOALS, GOALS, GOALS – Idaho's five goals against North Dakota are the most in a game since 2000.  It is just the fourth time that Idaho scored at least five goals in a game, and just the third time against a Division I opponent.  The Vandals have never scored more than five goals against a Division I opponent.

CONERENCE RANKINGS – Elexis Schlossarek is at the top of nearly every statistical category in Big Sky play.  The senior leads the Big Sky with eight points and is tied for first with three goals and two assists.

Emma Eddy is third in the conference with six points and is tied for first with three goals.  Kavita Battan is tied for fourth in the league with five points, while Josilyn Daggs and Clara Gomez are tied for first in the Big Sky with two assists each.
