Bye week over; Vandals looking to ULL

THE RECORDS
Idaho is 4-4 overall and 2-2 in the Sun Belt Conference, while Louisiana-Lafayette is 3-4 overall and 2-2 in league action. Both teams had byes last Saturday and both have played Sun Belt members New Mexico State and Appalachian State. Both lost to Appalachian State, while the Vandals beat New Mexico State 55-23 and ULL lost, 37-31, in double overtime.
THE COACHES
PAUL PETRINO is in his fourth season at Idaho. While it is his first head coaching job, it is not Petrino's first stint at Idaho. His coaching career began at Carroll College (his alma mater, 1989). From Carroll, he went to Idaho where he coached running back, receivers and special teams from 1992-94. From Idaho it was on to Utah State (1995-97), Louisville (1998-99), Southern Mississippi (2000-02), Louisville (2003-06), Atlanta Falcons (2007), Arkansas (2008-09), Illinois (2010-11) and Arkansas (2012).
MARK HUDSPETH is in his sixth season at Louisiana-Lafayette. He is a graduate of Delta State and began his coaching career at Central Arkansas as a graduate assistant (1992-93). From there he had stops at Nicholls State (1994-95), Winston Academy (1996-97), Central Arkansas (1998), Delta State (1999-2000), Navy (2001), North Alabama (2002-08) and Mississippi State (2009-10).
THE SERIES
This is the fifth game between the Vandals and Ragin' Cajuns with ULL owning a 3-1 edge in the series. They haven't played since 2004 when Idaho won 38-25 in Moscow.
TELEVISION
The game is on ESPN3 with Trey Bender calling the play-by-play and Chad Brown providing the analysis.
2016 CAPTAINS
Captains will be announced weekly. DE Tueni Lupeamanu, QB Matt Linehan, OL Jordan Rose and P/K Austin Rehkow were captains against Appalachian State.
VANDAL RADIO NETWORK
