Oregon state champ joins Vandals

MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho Track & Field program is thrilled to announce the signing of Celie Mans of Siuslaw High School in Florence, Ore.
 
Mans is a two-time State Champion in cross country in the state of Oregon. She is one of the most consistent and decorated cross coun­try runners in the history of the state of Oregon, having placed third as freshmen, fourth as a sophomore and first as a junior and senior at the state championships.  She has a personal best of 18:27 for 5k cross country.
 
Mans has also excelled on the track, having placed in the top eight six times at the Oregon State Track & Field championships in the 1500m and 3000m. She placed third in the 3000m at the state championships as a ju­nior this last spring. She has a personal best of 10:25 in the 3000m and 4:50 in the 1500m.
 
Mans is an incredible student and plans to take courses at the University of Idaho to prepare for gradu­ate studies in medicine.
