MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho Track & Field program is excited to announce the commitment of Jordyn Rauer of West Valley High School in Spokane, Wash.
Rauer competes primarily in both the long jump and triple jump. She boasts personal bests of 17'6” in the long jump and 35'4 1/2” in the triple jump. Rauer also competes on the 4x100-meters, 4x200-meters and 4x400-meters relay teams for her team.
She will be the fourth athlete from West Valley High School to join the Vandal track & field team over the last two years, joining teammates Mack Baxter, Skylar Ovnicek and McCall Skay. Jordyn will walk through the door with a talented and deep jumps crew next fall in Moscow.
“We are thrilled to have Jordyn coming to Idaho next year. She is a third or fourth generation Vandal and that is always great to see that kind of pride in the program.” -Tim Cawley, Director of Track & Field/Cross Country.
Rauer intends to study psychology or elementary education.
