MOSCOW, Idaho – With the regular season just around the corner, the Idaho women's soccer team is set to take on Eastern Oregon in an exhibition at Guy Wicks Field on Monday afternoon at 5 p.m.
 
The squad and the coaches will be sticking around after the game for a free youth clinic for children in eighth grade and below.  No registration is required.
 
The Vandals were picked by the coaches to win their second straight Big Sky Championship last week.  Idaho dominated the conference last season, setting a league record for wins and posting a 9-0-1 mark.  The Vandals scored a conference-high 23 goals while allowing a conference-low four.
 
Idaho returns the core group from last season's squad that tied the program record for wins with 14.  All 11 starters are back, while head coach Derek Pittman also retooled the roster with a plethora of young talent that will surely push for playing time in the early stages of the season.
 
Idaho gets the regular season started on Friday, August 21, at South Dakota.  The Vandals return home to take on Grand Canyon on Sunday, August 21, then host Gonzaga on Friday, August 26.
