Petrino looks back at Washington, ahead to WSU

Today's video: Coach Paul Petrino looks back at the game at Washington, ahead to Saturday's Battle of the Palouse at Washington State, and talks about the proximity of the two schools.

THE RECORDS
Idaho is 1-1 after defeating Montana State 20-17 in its opener before falling to No. 8 Washington last weekend at Seattle. The Cougars are 0-2 with a season-opening loss to Eastern Washington and a loss at Boise State last Saturday.
THE COACHES
PAUL PETRINO
is in his fourth season at Idaho. While it is his first head coaching job, it is not Petrino's first stint at Idaho. His coaching career began at Carroll College (his alma mater, 1989). From Carroll, he went to Idaho where he coached running back, receivers and special teams from 1992-94. From Idaho it was on to Utah State (1995-97), Louisville (1998-99), Southern Mississippi (2000-02), Louisville (2003-06), Atlanta Falcons (2007), Arkansas (2008-09), Illinois (2010-11) and Arkansas (2012).
MIKE LEACH is in his fifth season as head coach at Washington State. He was the head coach at Texas Tech from 2000-09. He began his coaching career at Cal Poly (1987) before stops at College of the Desert (1988), the Pori Bears (Finland, 1989), Iowa Wesleyan (1989-91), Valdosta State (1992-96), Kentucky (1997-98) and Oklahoma (1999).
SATURDAY'S GAME
Saturday's game is the second of three road games in a row for the Vandals – even though the trip from the University of Idaho to Washington State University (eight miles) is the shortest between two teams in college football.
THE SERIES
This is the 92nd game between the Vandals and Cougars in a series that started when football was in its infancy. The teams played regularly when both were members of the Pacific Coast Conference but only occasionally since. They last played in 2013.
TELEVISION
The game is on the Pac-12 Network with JB Long calling the play by play, Erik Coleman providing the analysis and Jill Savage reporting from the sidelines.
2016 CAPTAINS
Captains will be announced weekly. DE Tueni Lupeamanu, QB Matt Linehan, K/P Austin Rehkow and OL Jordan Rose were week two captains.
VANDAL RADIO NETWORK
KXLY sports personality Dennis Patchin continues to call the play-by-play and former Vandal defensive end and Vandal Athletics Hall of Famer Ryan Phillips is providing the analysis for the second season in a row.
