MOSCOW, Idaho – Vandal hoops adds another talented, athletic forward with Khadim Samb signing his National Letter of Intent.

"I think University of Idaho basketball fans will be very pleased with Khadim," said Mark Carver, head coach at Sprayberry High.  "He's a very fine young man and when you see him on the court and see those abilities I think everyone will be impressed."

Samb will join the Vandals after an impressive career at Sprayberry High School in Marietta, Ga., where he averaged 11 points and nine boards per game as a junior.  A 6-7 small forward, Samb brings an extra level of athleticism to Idaho basketball.

Originally from Los Angeles, Samb lived in Dakar, Senegal from the ages of 3-7 before moving to Georgia.

"He's just so full of potential and I think he will develop into a great basketball player one day," Carver continued.  "I think his best basketball is still ahead of him."
