GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The fight for postseason positioning is heating up, as Idaho (13-10, 8-4 BSC) takes on North Dakota (14-8, 9-3 BSC) at 2 p.m. Pacific on Saturday afternoon.

PREVIEW: The Vandals got the win in Greeley on Thursday night, topping the Bears of Northern Colorado, 88-76.  Victor Sanders led the way with 25 points, while Brayon Blake added 16 off the bench.
 
North Dakota defeated Eastern Washington in a battle of second-place teams, 95-86.
 
LAST MEETING: Idaho got the sweep last season, winning a pair of close games.  The squad opened up Big Sky play with a win in Grand Forks last season, 74-71, behind a 21-point performance from Perrion Callandret.  Chad Sherwood was excellent off the bench, finishing with 16.
 
The second meeting was a low-scoring affair, with Idaho winning 65-64.  The Vandals used a balanced offense to earn the win, with seven athletes scoring at least seven points in the win.
 
MR. 1000: Victor Sanders joined exclusive company last weekend, becoming just the 16^th member of the Idaho 1,000-Point Club.  The junior from Portland, Ore., scored 71 points on the weekend, including a 40-point outburst against Portland State on Thursday.  He played just 70 minutes on the weekend and attempted just 33 shots, but made the most of his opportunities.
