Janelle Lucas have been chosen Western Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively, after Idaho's decisive victory over Grand Canyon last Saturday.

Peseux, a sophomore from Besancon, France, won two individual events as Idaho defeated Grand Canyon. She placed first in the 100 breast (1:03.90) and 200 IM (2:07.89). She also earned second place in the 200 breast (2:17.63). Both breaststroke swims rank in the top 10 in the WAC. Her 100 breast was the second highest ranked swim in the meet with 746 points, and her 200 breast was the fifth highest.

Lucas, a sophomore from Mission Viejo, Calif., won the 3 meter with a score if 297.90. Her score beat the second place competitor by 20 points. She also placed third in the 1 meter with a score of 244.42.
"We are proud of, and thrilled for, both Clo and Janelle," coach
Mark Sowa said. "These two are incredible competitors who have really started to come of age as sophomores within this program. Â They are a huge part of what we do and are great Vandals. Â I think we can expect more great things from them in the future."
