MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho Track & Field program is thrilled to announce the signing of Jocie Osika of Lake City High School in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Osika is a talented thrower with a tremendous amount of potential. She has a personal best of 131 feet four inches in the discus and 37 feet six and a half inches in the shot put. Last year Osika won a district championship in the discus and qualified for the state track & field meet, placing 11th. She was fourth at her district in the shot put and placed seventh at the state meet as a junior.
Osika is an exceptional student in the classroom and will be a great teammate at the University of Idaho.
"Jocie fits in well with the team and with our mission here at Idaho. She is a very dynamic thrower, who is also very dedicated to her studies. We are very happy to add her to the Vandal family." –
Tim Cawley, Director of Track & Field/Cross Country
