Big Sky honors Kim

Idaho sophomore Michelle Kim earned Big Sky Conference Golfer of the Week honors after a stellar performance at the Hawkeye El Tigre Invitational. She had three successive rounds of 73 for a three-over 219 and a tie for ninth. Kim is the fifth Vandal to be chosen Golfer of the Week this season.

Idaho has a break of almost three weeks before the Big Sky Tournament at Boulder Creek (Nev.) Golf Course. The Vandals are ranked 55th nationally by GolfWeek and 71st nationally by Golfstat. Idaho is the only team in the conference to be ranked in the top 100 of Division I teams (there are 253). Kim is ranked 32nd in par 3 scoring (3.03) and teammate Sophie Hausmann is ranked 68th in par 4 scoring (4.09). As a team, the Vandals are tied for 35th in eagles (five) and are 43rd in par 4 scoring (4.23).
