CHENEY, Wash. – The heptathlon competition at the 45
th Annual Pelluer Invitational wrapped on Friday, with a pair of freshmen Vandals competing.
Silke Berendse finished sixth, while
Emily Callahan earned ninth.
Berendse finished with 3817 points to take sixth. She finished in fourth in the 200-meters with a time of 26.15 seconds. Berendse also placed fourth in the high jump with a leap of 1.53 meters.
Callahan took third in the 800-meters with a time of 2:29.64. She also placed fifth in the 200-meters at 26.87 seconds. Callahan finished ninth overall with 3585 points.
