Baxter Earns BSC AOTW

Posts fastest time in conference this season

MOSCOW, Idaho – After an incredible performance at the Oregon State High Performance Meet on Saturday, sophomore Mack Baxter has been named the Big Sky Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week.
 
Baxter posted the fastest 400-meter hurdle time in the conference this season at 51.98 seconds, breaking his personal-best and moving into fourth in program history in the event.  Baxter also moved up the national rankings and currently sits in 35th in the West Region.
 
Baxter finished second in the race, behind three-time NCAA Champion ('08, '09, '11) Jeshua Anderson.  Both athletes smashed the previous facility record of 53.02 seconds.

Baxter was also a member of the facility-record-setting 4x400-meter relay squad that won the event with a blistering time of 3:15.87.
