MINI-MEDIA GUIDE

MOSCOW, Idaho –
The long awaited debut of Vandals Soccer in the Kibbie Dome is finally here, as the Vandals host Mount Royal in their lone exhibition match of the year at 1 p.m.

Fall camp has been a battle so far, with head coach Derek Pittman looking to fill the void left by nine graduated seniors, including seven starters.  The competition has been fierce, but healthy, as every athlete continues to work hard for playing time.

There are, however, a handful of returning starters that have also impressed already.  Senior Olivia Baggerly continues to be one of Idaho's top athletes, giving Pittman and his staff a veteran leader in the middle of the field.  Transfers Makayla Presgrave and Bridget Daley, with the program since January, have been tremendous as well.

The younger group, including a few sophomores that saw some action on last year's Big Sky Regular Season Championship squad, has also looked good so far.  With so many vacancies in the starting lineup, only time will tell who will step up to make an impact.

The regular season gets underway in just six days, with Idaho traveling to UC Santa Barbara on Friday, August 18.  The Vandals return to Moscow for their home opener against in-state rival Boise State at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 25, in the Kibbie Dome.  The #KibbieKickoff tailgate gets started at 3:30 p.m. on the 25th, and the first 2000 fans will receive a free vuvuzela.
