LAST TIME OUT: Idaho fell at Oregon, 1-0, on Friday afternoon in Eugene. The Vandals played well, led by
Makayla Presgrave in goal. Presgrave made six saves on the day and was outstanding in the air to keep the Ducks at bay for most of the contest.
MATCHUP: Idaho is 0-1-0 all-time against Memphis, with the lone loss coming in double-overtime on the road in 2015. The Vandals trailed early in that contest, conceding two goals before the eight-minute mark, but responded well to tie the game up midway through the first half. Memphis got out ahead again late in the first, but Idaho's
Kavita Battan leveled the score in the second. Memphis is currently receiving 24 votes in the most recent national coaches' poll, which places the Tigers just outside the top-25 in 28
th.
The Vandals are 4-5-0 all-time against the Wolf Pack, with the last meeting coming while both were members of the WAC in 2011.
COMMON OPPONENTS: Memphis and Idaho do not share any common opponents this season.
Idaho and Nevada have also not played any common opponents so far this season. However, Nevada is playing six of its eight non-conference games against the Big Sky.
BIG SKY PLAY ON THE HORIZON: The Big Sky season gets underway next weekend, with Northern Arizona and Sacramento State coming to Moscow. The back-to-back defending Big Sky Regular Season Champion Vandals were picked to finish fourth by the coaches in the annual poll.
YOUNG VANDALS: Idaho has already had 10 athletes make their Division I debuts so far this season. By comparison, Idaho had just six all of last season.
HOME SWEET DOME: The Vandals moved inside this season to become the first NCAA women's soccer team to play an entire season indoors. The brand new, state-of-the-art turf was installed in the summer and will provide the team with a world-class surface. 4,171 fans packed the Dome for the home opener last Friday, the most ever for a Big Sky soccer game.
