MOSCOW, Idaho – A pair of former Idaho men's basketball players have recently re-signed overseas, in Deremy Geiger and Marvin Jefferson. Geiger will continue his playing career with La Charite Basket 58 in France, while Jefferson will play for Cytavision Apoel Nicosia in Cyrpus.
Last season, Geiger played for SAP Vaucluse where he averaged 16.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game on his way to earning Eurobasket.com All-French NM1 Second Team honors.
Geiger graduated from Idaho in 2012 after playing two seasons with the Vandals. He earned All-WAC Honorable Mention Recognition in 2012 after connecting on 87 3's during the season, the 6
th most in a single season in program history. His 137 career 3's are still the 8
th most in team history.
Jefferson began the season with SK Cherkasy Monkeys in Ukraine, but left after averaging 14.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game over 13 contests. He spent the majority of last season with Muglaorman in Turkey, where he averaged 14.3 points and 8.7 boards per game.
Jefferson played for the Vandals from 2008-10, earning WAC All-Defensive Team recognition in 2010. In his two seasons he blocked 122 shots, the third most in a career in team history. His 55.6 percent field goal percentage is still the ninth best career average in program history.
