BOISE, Idaho
– The Vandal Holiday Hoops Showcase is finally here, beginning on Friday in Boise at CenturyLink Arena.  The opening game will feature Portland State against UC Santa Barbara at 5 p.m. Mountain, with Idaho vs. Northwest Nazarene to follow at approximately 7 p.m.

FOLLOW: Fans can follow the Vandals all season long on Twitter, @VandalHoops.  All home and conference contests will also be streamed live through the PlutoTV app and at WatchBigSky.com.  Fans can also listen to the action with Chris King all season long on the Vandal Radio Network and at GoVandals.com/listen.

Friday's game will be streamed through PlutoTV.  Links to live stats and the live stream can be found at the top of this article or on the men's basketball schedule page.

VANDAL HOLIDAY HOOPS SHOWCASE: Competition continues on Saturday, with NNU and PSU battling at 5 p.m., followed by Idaho against UC Santa Barbara.  Tickets are on sale now at CenturyLinkArenaBoise.com.

PERFECT FROM THE FLOOR: Scott Blakney went 7-of-7 from the floor on Sunday against Bethesda.  He was the first Vandal to make at least seven shots without missing any since Kyle Barone went 10-of-10 against UT San Antonio during the 2009-10 season.

TYSON TAKES OVER: Cameron Tyson has been incredible for the Vandals so far this year.  Prior to Tyson, only one true freshman at Idaho had ever hit five or more 3's in a game (Connor Hill).  Tyson has done so in all three games this season.

More impressive is his shooting percentage.  Tyson currently ranks in the top-100 in the country in field goal percentage, despite more than 75 percent of his attempts coming from beyond the arc.  He also ranks sixth nationally in 3's per game (5.33).

GEM STATE STAND: Idaho will play five straight games in the Gem State.  The stretch started with a close loss to Nicholls State last Tuesday night before a win over Bethesda on Sunday.  The next two games will take place in Boise, before the Gem State Stand ends on Tuesday, Nov. 27, against West Coast Baptist.
