MOSCOW, Idaho—Idaho women's volleyball hosts Montana and Montana State this weekend in critical conference matchups inside Memorial Gym.

LAST WEEK: The Vandals extended its winning streak to 10 games with victories over Portland State (3-1) and Sacramento State (3-2). In a thrilling five-setter against Sacramento State, the Vandals defeated the Hornets after trailing 2-0. Big Sky's Offensive Player of the Week, Sarah Sharp, helped the Vandals give Sac State its first home regular season loss to a conference opponent, ending a 31-game winning streak.

CLINCHED: The Vandals (18-8, 12-2 Big Sky) were the first team to clinch a conference tournament berth as they sit at the No. 1 spot in league standings.

BIG SKY EXPECTATIONS: The Vandals were picked by the conference's coaches to win the Big Sky, taking nine first-place votes in the annual poll.

MONTANA: Montana enters Thursday's match eighth in league standings after losing its last two games, 1-3 and 0-3. Montana, currently on a seven-match losing streak, looks to end their bad luck this weekend. On Oct 13, Idaho defeated the Grizzlies 25-18, 25-23, 25-20, at West Auxiliary Gym, sweeping Montana. All-Time Series: Idaho Leads 36-27; Last Meeting: Oct. 13, 2018 (W, 3-0)

MONTANA STATE: The Vandals play Montana State Saturday in its second matchup on the year. MSU enters the match with a 10-15 overall and 5-9 conference. The Bobcats have lost its last three matches falling to Southern Utah and NAU the previous week. Last month, Idaho defeated the MSU, 3-1, at Shroyer Gym in Bozeman.
