FASTBREAK
- The Vandals come into Wednesday's contest straight off of a 70-63 come-from-behind win over the University of San Francisco. The win puts Idaho at .500 so far in the season.
- The Vandals used 18-for-20 (90 percent) shooting from the charity stripe and a 25-12 rebounding margin to recover from a 13-point deficit at the half in Saturday's feat against the Dons.
- Senior Mikayla Ferenz led all-scorers with an astounding season-high 40 points on 15-for-31 shooting in the field and 7-for-7 at the line with seven rebounds in just over 39 minutes of play.
- In the last three games, Ferenz has totaled 101 points and notched her second 40-point game, which no other Vandal has done in recent years.
- As early as it is in the season, Ferenz isn't the only Splash Sister making waves. Taylor Pierce recently broke the Idaho women's basketball record of 3-point field goals made with 336 (and counting) with Ferenz not too far behind with 320.
- The Vandals are currently 1-1 against the Big West this season with an 88-73 home win against CSUN, and a road defeat at Long Beach State, 70-63.
- Idaho and UH were both former members of the Western Athletic Conference from the years of 2006-2012 before the 'Bow joined the Big West, followed by the Vandals reconnecting with the Big Sky.
SCOUTING REPORT
- The 'Bows are on a three-game losing streak after going winless in their Rainbow Wahine Showdown tourney, which includes losses against American, FGCU and No. 8 Stanford.
- UH's Makenna Woodfolk, a junior, averaged 15 points and seven rebounds per game over the three-day, three-game tournament.
- UH leads the Vandals in all-time series (10-6) as the two teams have been playing each other since 1982. Although the 'Bows hold a 7-2 edge at home in the series, the Vandals have won six of the last eight meetings.
- Idaho took the previous meeting between the two teams on March 3, 2012, with the score, 69-50 in Moscow, Idaho.
